Molokai and I attended a Welcome Meeting in Tombstone. Basically, they went over a long list of rules in order to appropriately role-play in the sim. It was fun!! You have to be IC (in character) all the time. For a history buff like myself, this was very cool. Of course, she and I went shopping after the meeting to get her set up. We went to Shabby's in Winslow. Great outfits for great prices! This blog chronicles my journey using Second Life as a virtual world tool for teaching and learning.

As an educator, I see such great benefits for both teachers and students in this program! It is an extremely interesting, and almost unreal, means of communication that I know will have broad appeal for students. Sounds as though you are on the cutting edge of amazing studies in your educational technology graduate program!
